consistent, high quality daily meditation is the key. If we consider whether we should meditate today or feel okay without it... we have changed the criteria for awakening
Domo Geshe Rinpoche
I was told it is not how often we practice to attain enlightenment, but rather our understanding of the Nature of our mind that is key ... What are your thoughts on this perspective Rinpoche la ? Thank you
a small excerpt from a discussion...that may inspire you...
that they are is not the problem, the problem is the suffering due to true misunderstanding
Life will goes on, no matter what we do, Samsara and Nirvana are here and now... Life becomes part of the process of enlightenment... Worry never lose teachings, teacher and practice while making choices in life... for the benefit of all sentient beings...
Mario René Osorio
There is nothing more important than progressing towards awakening. My choices and intentions must always include this desire. So I have to think about how to use what happens in life toward this end. In other words every this is a chance to do dharma and to build the ladder to enlightenment within refuge.
What is more important than enlightenment? This is the question that advanced meditators ask themselves when presented with other opportunities in life.
~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~
If we continue to meditate on the Buddhist path we will eventually have all kinds of experiences that we may never have had before, such as bliss, clarity, nonconceptuality, and clairvoyance. But we must understand that they are only a byproduct of our meditation, and that they are not the ultimate goal. If we become attached to these experiences they will only distract us from the path and we will not progress towards Buddhahood.
~ Chamtrul Rinpoche
The path to the awakened state is as difficult as you envision.
As cool as a lotus pond Its ground covered in pearls and silver dust May your days be filled with bliss Refreshed by the dharma
