We can smile, breathe, walk and eat.....

Started by roddyg Dec 11, 2012. 0 Replies

We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available. We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a…Continue

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle.....

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky,…Continue

Mindfulness of breathing is your island, where you can be safe and happy, knowing that whatever happens, you are doing your best
thing.

This is the way to take refuge in the Buddha, not as mere devotion but as a transformational practice.

You do not have to abandon this world.

You do not have to go to Heaven or wait for the future to take refuge.

You can take refuge here and now.

You only need to dwell deeply in the present moment.

Very nice Rosemarie. It is wonderful how Nature has a self healing element built in.

Healing Mother Earth

Walking mindfully on the Earth can restore our peace and harmony,

and it can restore the Earth's peace and harmony as well.

We are children of the Earth. We rely on her for our happiness, and

she relies on us also.

Whether the Earth is beautiful, fresh and green, or arid and parched

depends on our way of walking.

When we practice walking meditation beautifully , we massage the Earth with our feet and plant seeds of joy and happiness with each step.

Our Mother will heal us, and we will heal her.

Thich Nhat Hanh
