Thank you every one of you for every message you have sent here, Stephen QuintoRosmarie Heusser Kerrin Charles Muir Ji Wong DAMIEN FERNANDESdesmond dillon, and thank you to everyone that have liked this post. Creating a mandala is a so very peaceful experience, and as I did this one I was meditating on how we are all connected, all of us, we all share the same air, we all walk on the same Earth, we are all made of star dust, we all want to live, to be free and safe, etc...

I read in your answers that you all feel the same and it warms my heart. The more people will understand and feel how we are connected, the more we will treat each other with respect, each being, human and non human.

Thank you everyone and I send lots of love and peace to each of you, to each of us...

how much can we appreciate this life we all have? how much interest can we bear?some time has been made available for all of us to truly realize the asset we have within our own heart. I need reminding every moment of the value of the real wealth and so i have to thank you Isabelle for this most lovely post and the message contained in the Lakota song....

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD WHO CREATED ALL THINGS FOR US HUMAN BEINGS, NOT FORGETTING TO THANK HIM WHO CREATED US.

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY.

Dear Isabelle Cyr,

I entirely agree on that photo, and also I want to share relating to it that says We are all related-

that's true without arguement because the photo expresses various kinds of culture - civilization etc.. on the planet, all inclusiveness of circumstances and creatures. So this saying's right and everyone will accept it.

Thank you all that have shared their view on inter connectedness.  Some of it , coming directly from Spirit I am sure.  Surprising how far back this feeling, and thinking goes.  Many of the indigenous cultures believe the same thing in this area.

It really is a wonderful side of life, once we understand and accept this knowledge, suddenly the light turns on, we are not on our own here, there is much in common amongst all cultures and peoples, and indeed all life.   The common thread for me is Spirit. Once I am one with Spirit, I am one with all things.  Then I can get up in the morning and marvel at a new day, and appreciate all the beauty that creation and nature has to offer.

As for man and his warlike ways, he will have to come back again and again, until he figures it all out.

This is indeed a very good way to express one's gratitude. I really like that 'example of use in prayer'. - Thanks to You too, Isabelle.

Each of us has a message to share with the rest of the family.... to my red brothers and sisters, who follow the cultural path [as in Mitakuye Oyasin] ....listen to the spirits of the animals whose grief is as our own when their lives are taken ....to become a meal for us.  Let Peace now replace that dream space we [all of us] shared until we realized that we could no longer feed on the flesh of our brothers. Let LovingKindness prevail ....everywhere that violence and aggression once did. namaste beloved heart!

Example of Use in Prayer

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin....All my relations. I honor you in this circle of life with me today. I am grateful for this opportunity to acknowledge you in this prayer....

To the Creator, for the ultimate gift of life, I thank you.

To the mineral nation that has built and maintained my bones and all foundations of life experience, I thank you.

To the plant nation that sustains my organs and body and gives me healing herbs for sickness, I thank you.

To the animal nation that feeds me from your own flesh and offers your loyal companionship in this walk of life, I thank you.

To the human nation that shares my path as a soul upon the sacred wheel of Earthly life, I thank you.

To the Spirit nation that guides me invisibly through the ups and downs of life and for carrying the torch of light through the Ages, I thank you.

To the Four Winds of Change and Growth, I thank you.

You are all my relations, my relatives, without whom I would not live. We are in the circle of life together, co-existing, co-dependent, co-creating our destiny. One, not more important than the other. One nation evolving from the other and yet each dependent upon the one above and the one below. All of us a part of the Great Mystery.

Thank you for this Life.

From Wikipedia:

Mitakuye Oyasin  is phrase in the Lakota Sioux language. It reflects the world view of Interconnectedness, and is inherent as a belief of most Native American traditions that "Everything is Connected".

It is used in all Yankton spiritual ceremonies and activities and employed as a prayer to end other prayers, after which the sacred food or sacred pipe is passed around.  The LakotasDakotasand Nakotas all use this phrase as a refrain in many prayers and songs.

In 1940, American scholar, Joseph Epes Brown wrote a definitive study of Mitakuye Oyasin and its relevance in the Sioux ideology of "underlying connection" and "oneness", and it has become acatchphrase and greeting in the animal rightswomens' rights as well as human rights activism.

The phrase translates as "all my relatives," "we are all related," or "all my relations." It is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees and plants, and even rocks, rivers, mountains and valleys.

Quote of the moment:

NOT WAR
GENEROSITY
NOT GREED
EMPATHY
NOT HATE
CREATIVITY
NOT DESTRUCTION
EVERYBODY
NOT JUST US"
