The salt, sugar and the fat in our food affect the organs in the body like the heart, the kidney and the eyes.

Mind is also an internal organ. The saltiness, sourness and spices in our food affect this internal organ called the mind…

Mind and Intellect - acceptance and understanding

A commonly observed fact is that, when we listen to certain ideas or teachings, our intellect would comprehend them and we would hence feel convinced about the teachings. This does not mean that our mind too has accepted it. Unless our mind also accepts it, we would never put it to practice because we need the full involvement of the mind to practice something!

On the other hand, if the mind finds a liking and is convinced at the very beginning about a teaching or idea, we would immediately start practicing it, even if the intellect has not understood the idea. In fact, there would be no effort needed to convince the intellect as it will also follow suit!

This is the difference between acceptance and understanding!
