A hungry man comes home. He has so many diseases in his body that only a very few foods are non-allergic to him, given the amount of medication he is taking. In addition he has his own likes and dislikes in the matter of food. One has to feed him to satisfy his hunger, and at the same time, give him that food that tastes well to his taste buds, does no harm to his health and does not affect any medication that he is taking. Everything in this world happens according to the Karma. Children get afflicted with deadly diseases like cancer because of their Karmas in their previous births.

By serving those who serve the Guru, one fetches the same merit as serving the Guru directly.

If a person's life is according to his Past Conditioning / destiny, How can a guru help him?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

We may have taken thousands of births and committed millions of sins. No matter how colossal that figure maybe, it is unquestionably well within the realm of the finite. Guru's boundless grace though, is immeasurable, limitless and infinite.

The tapas (Penance) and grace of the Sadguru can make up for his Karmas and takes him to the path of liberation quicker.

Why is that, a rose has fragrance even though it has thorns, while there are flowers which do not have fragrance at all?

By this God wishes to teach us a very beautiful and important lesson. Just because we are able to acquire something without much of an effort, it is not essentially a great thing, and just because we face some hardships while trying to acquire something, it does not diminish its value one bit!

A person wins a million dollars in a lottery. Do you think he would ever enjoy the satisfaction that is experienced by the one who sweated it out to make a penny? Definitely not! Because the latter knows the effort that has gone into the whole exercise. Sweeter indeed is the fruit that is plucked with a lot of effort from the highest branch.

One has to believe that the Lord exists. But it should not stop there. One should have total faith in Him and invoke His divine grace by chanting the Maha Mantra. In that state, the fate will not matter anymore.

There are innumerable rules and regulations laid out by the religion that we are unable to follow in this age, in order to make our living comfortable. You intention is noble and benefits the society on the whole. This viewpoint is more important. The Lord will always be with you and bless your family.

On some days, the moment I wake up, I have divine thoughts, and am immersed in the same bliss all through the day. On other days, I feel dry and empty – I feel deserted and am not able to think of the Lord. Why does this happen? What is the way out?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

One some days, our body is very energetic to work, and on other days, its tired, isn’t it? The same is applicable for the mind too.

Chanting certain specific 'bheejakshara' mantras as an upaasana (Practice) without proper initiation is dangerous; performing breath-control practices on one's own or taught by amateur masters is dangerous; similarly, analyzing the mind without Devotion also leads to a lot of confusion.

Believe in the grace of God as you take your life forward. Express your feelings to God with humility and love – that is real prayer. Continue to pour out your devotion to God and pray sincerely for his grace. With patience and perseverance in this spiritual practice, you will slowly realize that God is always with you.

A person thinks that God is always with him physically and mentally -- God is eating, sleeping, talking and walking along with him.It is just an imagination. There is nothing called real divine experience. Am I not right?

Initially it is an imagination. This imagination is called Bhava Bhakti (devotion of Feeling). It is very rare to attain this state. This imagination becomes true one day. Then it is called Sakshatkara (Realization). This is the Real Experience, and is the rarest of the rarest.
