 Sem acusá-la de má... Sem temê-la

Senhor!
 Dai-me o benefício da prudência de não caluniar
 O presente, pelo passado ausente

Que eu envelheça sem mágoas...Sem opressão
 Sem a fadigante bondade, a imprudência das verdades

Senhor!
 Da vida eu peço só uma coisa, a dignidade
 Pois, a velhice é prata de lei
 Com um brilho dos sonhos vividos

Quero ser feliz, até o dia de te encontrar
 Quero deixar para os meus entes queridos
 Uma lembrança suave...
 Sem tristezas ou mágoas

Senhor que eu saiba viver e deixar viver
 Que eu tenha sempre dentro de mim a eterna criança
 Que eu não me perca nas tristezas ou mágoas.
 Senhor que até o fim dos meus dias eu possa amar
 Ajudar e ser feliz
