Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

We are not free to think in isolation. That is an illusion. We are limited by our experiences and the reasoning potential we were born with.To counter our conditioning , we must consider other points of view, other perspectives, our own attitudes to disabilty, and those of society around us.

Only by discarding our preconceived ideas of "normal" are we able to fully communicate with others.

The human form is not perfect and we need all variants of performance and perspective to mature into the loving beings we are able to become.

I have spent 20 years working with people with learning disabilities, mental illness and dementia and have learned so many ways of loving from others, who some people would discount.

Many of these people have had an understanding of what it is to be human and how to share love, which is way beyond most of society.

They have not complicated the basics of living together in love and peace with the desires for power or material wealth.

Every person has a unique way of contributing and sharing in this life and we should all be doing everything we can to include all people fully in our communities and our lives.

I do agree with you, Diana. I also work with people in difficulties and I'm always amazed by the their capacities to go on, step by step.

I think patience, faith and love are our best "tools".
