* The fire rises in me *

The fire rises in me,
and lights up my heart.
Like the sun!
Like the golden disk!
Opening, expanding, radiant --
Yes!
-- a flame!

I say again:
I don't know
what to say!

I'd fall silent
-- If only I could --
but this marvel
makes my heart leap,
it leaves me open mouthed
like a fool,

urging me
to summon words
from my silence.

   CHILDREN OF THE WORLD #1 (Peace)

 The sun rises, another day dawns. Same as yesterday.  Nothing to look forward to. Another day of desolation.  No agenda, this must change.  New priorities must be set, if a peaceful existance  is to be had in this world. It must start with a new  generation of children.

 They need to be up early each morning, after a well  rested night, preparing for their school day.   A Balanced breakfast, prehaps a school uniform for each  child. When produced in mass quanity is very affordable.  Off to school each day, being properly trained. Their  agenda, peace is good, war is bad. There must be a new  mind set.Trained by proper teachers.

 Education is the key to peace and harmony. The better  educated our children are, the more chance peace has to  prevail.    One might say this is impossible, however it is very  possible. Invision, the heads of each goverment taking  an interest in our children. Coming together in peace  and harmony. Saying "Come let us reason together".

 Our agenda,every child will be properly fed, clothed  and educated. When this happens a peaceful co-existence  will merge out of the darkness.    When the children are properly taken care of, God will  smile and say, "I am proud of my creaiton".

As we look across the horizon and view people living in war torn countries, homes bombed, business ruined, their homeland destroyed.

we see the look of poverty and hopelessness on their faces. Broken and sad.

Children clothed in rags, eating garbage, drinking polluted water. Living far below sub- standard.

Can this be God'a plan for life? I think not.

My Bible tells me, "suffer not little children come unto me, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven".

In our every day walk, these words should ring true in our ears, ever reminding us, "suffer not".

Overwhelmed in poverty there must be answers found to help stabilize these lives. Bring a decent life style to fruitation. Every person is entitled to such. This is God's gift to mankind.

The quest for peace and prosperity should take top priority.

As The Peace Wisher Poet, AFZAL SHAUQ'S famous say, "A friendly smile is the best weapon of war to fight with". Let us join him and say, "Come let us reason together."
