Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

not these two peepers we look out
but three real eyes to know about

the first is open in the heart
whose eye knows only feeling

the first in line, the royal throne
kingdom of the place from where we come

the heart is felt and known to be
our root, our soul our own company

as with a babe fresh from the womb
their feeling form of pure love
all heart open in flesh alone
see now how love is endless grown
and always known within.
.

next up, 'the minds eye'
a different ilk can always tell
what it is not and what its got
and telling it a lot
living in the brain
and useful too and necessary
like a tamed but wild dog.
.

then finally we come of age
and set to fly right off the page
of time and space
and our own young age
we replicate, rejuvenate
and reproduce again.
.

so each eye will take its turn
while the others shut
and so we learn to see
what can be seen or not
and what we want, then:
what we want a lot.

success is not measured
by the feathers in the nest
but in the brightness of the light
that shines from in the breast.
