One True Blessing

Blessed as I am with many gentle friends all around our great blue sphere,

I can never be lonely or heartbroken and have long lost all sense of fear,

for reality is a fair place in which to reside with the passing of many moons,

well rested from the shards of commerce that force some to seek false fortunes…

How content within those simplest principles of fair ways and cooperation,

breaking down the artificial barriers that gave harsh divisions to every nation,

some have the vision to step back and see the future redefined by the weave

of the web where we meet and are sharing wisely while others cannot leave

their old ways and burnt out habits, minds so charred by the lack of spring water

to wash away the bitter flames of anger that block new ideas from their daughter…

It is an evolution of thinking that will bring peace and sense to mankind if but allowed,

by those who stick to bankrupt ideas that have long served to limit the human crowd,

but as the world is now served by this web that binds our one race together in time,

no waiting for letters or newspapers to bring information in a form others did define,

now we have our freedom to rise up from the very ground we share just for a lifetime,

and reach out to each other with understanding unfettered by any old political grime…

Peace will belong to all who now recognise that we have ever been in the same race,

no boundaries exist to those who share with our brothers and sisters in every place,

humanity is the one true blessing for all and is there in your hands to give out every day,

all you need is love and the wish to make a future in which our children can all safely play…

my latest poem --

~ soft breath ~
life is hard n soft
like rocks n feathers
multi colored multi dimensional
delightful , magical with light
painful , worrisome with difficulties
our wisdom bridges the gap
helps us make peace inside
with all we can't control
n the parts we can nurture
cultivating kindness , compassion n love
allowing for the beauty of life to arise
we are sculpted by its pounding hammering
but caressed by sweetness in our being
with this I can be grateful
then in the world of gratitude
a whole other joy of understanding
shines out in wonderment
n life's hardness is softened
sweetly softly breathing me

there is a taxi coming shortly
to spirit me away
where it goes i cannot tell you
where it goes i cannot say
except i know the driver
and i know he knows the way.....

a quote from einstein refers to 'spooky action at a distance' to describe observed sub atomic particle activity. it does not conform to the rules of science. no one knows how it goes
'there is a great power within us and when we use it, then it spreads around us like a magic garden. when we do not use it then it recedes from us.'
