Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

I’ve taken quite some time

trying to find the words to describe

this … ’experience’ that I’m having inside. 

Hours, days, weeks spent scribbling wildly with a pen

thinking “I’ve got it!!!”

And then - No, 

crossing it out again.

I’ve read great literature and poetry, seeking inspiration.

I’ve felt inspired, 

Wow, 

I really have felt inspired,

still, the words haven’t come

Getting desperate, I’ve hurled a bag of scrabble tiles at a wall

thinking:

in an infinite universe they just might fall

forming the exact words I’ve been looking for.

They didn’t. 

They might do one day but I gave up after the 64th try. 

I started asking everyone I encountered:

“Have you felt this experience, do you have the words to describe it?”

They’d say “what experience?” 

I’d talk for 20 minutes or so,

then realise I don’t have the words to describe it.

So forget all this, I thought, I’ll listen to my master! 

I sat in silence and listened

and joy began to overwhelm me from inside like a…hmm

the words fill me with a 'déjà vue' ~ long time ..

'if all the sky was paper and all the trees were pens and all the sea was ink there would not be enough of any resource to complete the task of saying how wonderful love truly is.. there can be no end to it but no matter when we find we have to dance around in joy..regardless'
