Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Hold a needy child today, or make a visit to a lonely old woman, so when the year is over you say to yourself:

"I've signed it with love!"

Good thought - thanks () hugs to all I can today!
Thank you Eva, Yes I know the feeling that one gets when you sign with love. Yesterday I spent the day with people in their twilight years. I was invited by the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association, for the laying of the foundation stone for a building at the Veterans's Home (Home for Elders) from the three armed forces, having served in the Navy forty odd years ago. I was also requested to join the Veterans home committee, and we all spent the day socializing with our friends of the past. Most of them are very much senior to me, some in their late eighties and a couple of them in their early nineties. It was so facinating to listen to them reminising their past experiences, some of them having taken part in the second world war alongside the briitish troops. It was so heart-warming an experience and now that I am in the committee, I'll be visinting them often to see to their well being. I can see into your heart Dear Eva, it is so beautiful. God bless you.

Love is the way, that is how we meet eachother

I had posted your above lines, Eva, on my fb page. People commented. One of  them was my friend  Zsuzsi, who wrote ( using your words)-
"I hold a baby and sang to him and visited a very lonely woman tonight ...how blessed I feel!"."
I was so surprised, and asked her to tell me more. That's is her reply -
"I go every evening in the nursing home to visit old people, this is for those who have no children near by a rescue from demention because they can talk and share they day.The baby was my baby grandson, I helped my son because both were crying(his sister is two and a half and did not feel well)"
Is it not amazing????

Have your conversation found on Facebook, Irit. It is a sympathetic person. I was tempted to invite her as a friend. It's great how she thinks, lives and acts. Thank you for your message.
