Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

.
breathe the 'song of peace'
fly free with me and see now
.
how old age never comes alone
it brings its friends along to roam
all o'er the body with visits of groan
and moan and pain in the bone.
there is a hole in the brain
where all the words drain - sometimes
you have to pretend to be sane
its all in the game when old age comes.
.
sing the song of peace and fly free with me
.
and should you survive
to see old age arrive
you will struggle to keep it together
then face the X-ray, blood test and colonoscopy
and escape all manner and means
of horrible things called strokes and attacks
then they send you right back
to find if the family of cancer has come
... .... ..... ...... ....... ..........
.... when the answer is No and you have to go
back to your home
s l o w l y losing your marbles
alone
with pain still in the bone then
.
breathe the 'song of peace' and fly free with me.
