A common space for harmonic peacemakers
This Saturday in Vienna, thousands of Tibetans and Tibet supporters will be standing in solidarity with His Holiness the Dalai Lama as he addresses the European Solidarity Rally for Tibet. This rally couldn't come at a more important time; over sixty years of Chinese rule has created a crisis in Tibet, with China's repressive policies provoking an unprecedented wave of self-immolations by Tibetan monks, nuns and laypeople.
Joining the Dalai Lama in Austria will be the leader of the Tibetan Government in Exile, Lobsang Sangay, and many well-known human rights advocates. All of them will be urging European Governments to Stand Together for Tibet and take joint action to condemn China’s crackdown and institute decisive measures to advocate for the Tibetan people's freedom.
Pressure on our governments to Stand Together for Tibet is building, and we need to ensure that our leaders hear our call loud and clear, and publicly commit their support at this critical time.
If you are able to go to Vienna on 26 May, you will find full details about the Rally here. If you cannot be there in person, please join the action below to show solidarity.
