"Peacemaker" by Nicola Slattery
'Peacemaker' is a recent limited edition, hand made, collagraph print. There are just eight prints in the edition.
The technique is one of my favourite ways of printmaking and it is one of two (the other being drypoint) that I will be teaching on my Printmaking Weekend art course on 9th & 10th April next year. The course is great for complete beginners and any experienced artists who want to develop new techniques and ways of working.
The weekend course takes place at my studio in rural south Norfolk and there are some wonderful places to stay nearby. Book now and look forward to a great weekend spring break of creativity with like minded people in beautiful Norfolk. Please let others know and maybe consider this as an interesting gift idea for someone special - including yourself!

"Marvin Gaye wrote the enviro anthem Mercy Mercy Me 50 years ago. Still the burning questions on THE top Motown Album of all time - the anti-war tune (What’s Going On), and social injustice (Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler.
"Woah, ah, mercy, mercy me
Ah, things ain't what they used to be
Where did all the blue skies go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north and south and east
Woah mercy, mercy me, things ain't what they used to be
Oil wasted on the ocean and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury Oh Jesus, yeah, mercy, mercy me,
Ah, things ain't what they used to be
Radiation underground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
Ah, things ain't what they used to be"
"PEACE
NOT WAR
GENEROSITY
NOT GREED
EMPATHY
NOT HATE
CREATIVITY
NOT DESTRUCTION
EVERYBODY
NOT JUST US"
