Reach for the sky. Always.

Reach for the sky. Always. Our tendency is to reach down, to narrow our focus and give in to our habitual negative self-cherishing patterns. Resist. Reach for the sky. Always. Become bigger, not smaller. Broaden your perspective rather than narrow it. Always. Our default, especially when facing challenges, is to draw the wagons around to protect number, me. This “me, me, me” focus is counterproductive. It divides the world into “us and them.” This only brings more worry, anxiety, suspicion and fear. Reach for the sky. Practice more and more concern for the welfare of others. Others are not fundamentally different from us. Just like me, they want to be happy. Just like me, they want to avoid pain and suffering. Just like me, they are also struggling to keep their heads above water. We are all the same in these important ways. Remember them and their struggles. Almost like magic, reaching for the sky, elevates our life. A sense of meaning flourishes. A sense of inner joy flourishes. An open heart flourishes. Emaho!
