Notice the darkened coloration on the smaller branches. There is a forest fire nearby (called the Lava Fire) and the smoke has been in the air for two days now. This tree can sense it and is wetting the smaller branches in preparation for the oncoming fire. Notice the smaller branches have more saturated color to them. That is moisture from the trunk which feeds the branches. The tree is sensing danger and is responding.
