SENDING A VOICE

I am sending a voice

an ancient voice.

I am standing here

in morning light.

Sun

like a loyal friend

beautifully smiles on me.

Crows are calling

from the towering tops of trees.

I cast no shadow

in the hour of awakening

I walk in a dream

amid autumn hills.

On the final summit

awaits a golden prayer.

All through the night

ancestors have danced

in the sacred hoop of creation.

Now

I am sending a voice

an ancient voice.

Now I am standing

in the love charm of morning.
