Love to you. Now: see a wite Angel statue looking out on a clear blue sky.

See the birds, the winged ones, knowing: Try to remember and hold on.

Wisdom is nothing but a preparation of the soul, a capacity, a secret art of thinking, feeling and breathing thoughts of unity at every moment of life.

Hope is the thing with feathers

    That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words

    And never stops at all.

Longing, such longing — in the groves
I’ll cast me at thy feet,
And soothe my wearied soul less this longing
    In nature’s converse sweet.

I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

"i know love does to pain
    what sunlight does to rain,
    in the absence of doership
    we’re reminded once again

    that inherent in each cloud
    is a rainbow not-yet-born,
    the awakened state is present
    even as we mourn.

so let the tears keep flowing
    and trust whatever comes,
    each moment is a banquet
    of abundance, not of crumbs."

    "There is a brokenness
out of which comes the unbroken,
    a shatteredness
out of which blooms the unshatterable.
    There is a sorrow
beyond all grief which leads to joy
    and a fragility
out of whose depths emerges strength.

    There is a hollow space
    too vast for words
through which we pass with each loss,
    out of whose darkness
    we are sanctioned into being.

There is a cry deeper than all sound
whose serrated edges cut the heart
as we break open to the place inside
    which is unbreakable and whole,
    while learning to sing."

    ~ Rashani

    Many paths lead from
    The foot of the mountain

    We all gaze at the

Last night the fog slept in the deep wildflower field. With the dawn it now rises to resume its journey to the east, trailing precious dewdrops as bits of its dream stuff.

    Wishing you a holy Solstice..

    Artwork by Wendy Andrews

    The eve of Winter Solstice
    holds a magical air
    for ‘tis the longest night,
    with the richest fare.

    Infused with wisdom,
    unseen by most,
    garnered by you
    by your desire for growth.

    In the morn,
    the light filters in
    and lo and behold
    Awareness begins.

    But without the darkness,
    that rendered you wise,
    the dawning light
    would have nil to advise.

    So sing ye an ode
    to the bountiful darkness
    for all the wonders
    within the primordial womb.

O God, you have prepared in peace the path I must follow today.
Help me to walk on that path.
If I speak, remove lies from my lips.
If I am hungry, take away from me all complaints.
If I have plenty, destroy pride in me.

May I go through the day, calling on you, you,
O Lord, who know no other Lord.

And, If a star shall fall
    Down upon the ground
Why, I shall pick her up
For, she longed to be found
    I shall hold her forever
    Forever in my heart
    Knowing that we shall never
    Ever again, be apart

    Love your hands! Love them.

Raise them up and kiss them…

Love your neck; put a hand on it, grace it, stroke it and hold it up… And all your inside parts...

and the beat and beating heart...

Love your heart. For this is the prize.

Don't dream of a better tomorrow

You will keep your present at bay,

Live for the moment and have a positive say

Befor entering the sea, a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has traveled, And
in front of her, she sees an ocean so vast, that to enter,
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way. The river can not
go back, nobody can go back. The river needs to
take the risk of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that's where the river will know,
it's not about disappearing into the ocean,
    but of becoming the ocean.

    To love. To be loved.

To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.

To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.

To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple.

    To respect strength, never power.

Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.
