Oh, so cute! I love them!

I used to feed some nuts from my ice creams to one of them that came to my window in an upstairs bedroom in New York!

  • desmond dillon

currently we started with a squirrel coming to our balcony on the third floor, so we fed him some nuts.. then came another.. and another. so now we have 3 or 4 (not sure which) come most days.. sometimes they get a few nuts.. when i put out a hazel in the shell they leave any other nuts and rush off with it in their mouth..  and return a bit later for the remaining nuts..

So together with the bird feeder, also on the balcony, i spend a sum every month on our wildlife friends whom we are so lucky to have.

oh, how sweet, i wanted to too, but it has cats too, that keeps me from a bird feeder, too bad..

  • Carmen Elsa Irarragorri-Wyland

Well, my only one, it was only one squirrel, will come and look at me having the ice cream, it was pistachio nuts, but she would not come close, so I began putting the pistachios out and she, very carefully, will come and get them, at the beginning, but then she would come closer and  closer everyday, until she would come and grab the pistachios out of the ice cream herself!

I thoroughly enjoyed her company, while I ate the rest of the ice cream.

    Dancing in the snow

In the Lishan Nature Reserve in Shanxi Province, China, two male Golden Pheasants are pictured as they continuously swap places on a trunk. The birds are native to China, where they inhabit dense forests in mountainous regions. Although brightly coloured, they are shy and difficult to spot, spending most of their time foraging for food on the dark forest floor. They only fly to evade predators or to roost in very high trees during the night. - Photo by Qian Guo/Wildlife Photographer

    Scarlet Ibis.

The scarlet ibis (Eudocimus ruber) is a species of ibis in the bird family Threskiornithidae. It inhabits tropical South America and part of the Caribbean. In form, it resembles most of the other twenty-seven extant species of ibis, but its remarkably brilliant scarlet coloration makes it unmistakable. It is one of the two national birds of Trinidad and Tobago, and its Tupi–Guarani name, guará, is part of the name of several municipalities along the coast of Brazil.

What an INCREDIBLE picture of bees at rest.

    Did you know...
    🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
As they are cold-blooded, bees gain energy from the sun's heat so have to rest during the night and in cooler weather. Holding tight to the stems with their strong, jaw-like mandibles, they gradually relax – their bodies lower, their wings rest and their antennae droop – until they fall asleep, waiting for the morning to come.
