Around All Our Tables

Santa Rhumour is sending sunbeams
to brighten up your day
I don't know if they'll melt the snow
but keep an eye out for they may.

And if perchance they make it easy
for you all to get safely home
then all will have more joy I'm sure
and far less to make them moan.

And for those who have no snow
may your problems be easy to beat
I wish you have a time of peace and love
with at least enough to drink and eat

All our many sisters and brothers
in every corner of this globe
deserve to feel their needs secure
as they traverse down this life's road.

It matters not which tongue they speak
to express their care for kith and kin,
nor which faith they adhere to,
only that they come to put aside all sin.

For to be a part of this great family
requires we abandon strife and greed
so we can all coordinate our efforts
to eliminate grief and human need.

Yes for some it is time for Christmas,
while others know little of that
though all can share thanks for food
as around all our tables we are sat...
