A common space for harmonic peacemakers
Emilie Flöge wearing Wiener Werkstätte fashion and jewelry (detail), 1909. Photograph by Madame d’Ora.
Did you know that fashion designer Emilie Flöge, confidante of Gustav Klimt, assembled one of the largest collections of Wiener Werkstätte jewelry? You can see her wearing some of these remarkable pieces in this portrait by Madame d’Ora.
Join us tomorrow tonight, February 5, at 5 PM Eastern Time, for the premiere of “Patrons of Wiener Werkstätte Jewelry,” a lecture presented by Janis Staggs, Director of Curatorial and Manager of Publications at Neue Galerie New York. This lecture will highlight some of the ways that modern Viennese art and design are inextricably linked by examining select patrons of Gustav Klimt who also favored Wiener Werkstätte jewelry.
