[The "Self" and "God" mean so many things to so many people. They can mean pure consciousness itself, impersonal, immutable, etc. They can have a personal connotation, an immanent quality exemplified by an enlightened being of choice. Buddha nature, intuition, there are so many ways to approach something that is ultimately to be experienced in the right brain mode, below the threshhold of discursive thinking

This is not meant to put down discursive thinking, but rather to show its limits. There's the example of using a thorn to take out another thorn from your hand (or a knife to take out a splinter). The splinter is removed, you sit quietly, and the natural healing qualities of the body take over (grace) and the finger becomes whole again.

It takes two to tango. We have to do our share or God, with infinite patience, will wait.]
