[Krishna Jaya]

Chapter 4, Verse 27

 

"Others offer their breath of life

And also the powers of life

Into the fire of an inner union

Lighted by a flash of vision."

 

Swami Shivananda:

 

"Just as a lamp is kindled by oil, so also is the fire of Yoga kindled by meditation.  When the Yogi concentrates the mind, the senses and the breath dissolve into their cause."

 

Sri Aurobindo:
