[Krishna Jaya]

Chapter 5, Verse 7

 

“Wholehearted in devotion,

Masters of body and mind,

They know their Self

As the Self of all beings.

They are dear to everyone

And everyone is dear to them.

No work stains those

Who are pure.”

 

Father Bede Griffiths:

 

“The person who is totally integrated and totally one with the inner center is one with creation, with humanity, and with God.  This is the final stage.  To become aware of this essential oneness in the whole of creation and in every being, and to make it steady so that this awareness continuously flows…this is our aim.”

 

Sri Aurobindo:

 

“This freedom, this mastery, and purity are hidden from us when we are bewildered by the ignorance which clouds the eternal wisdom of the Self secret within our being.  But wisdom will come to the persistent student, removing the ignorance.  It shines forth like a long-hidden Sun and lights up to our vision that Self beyond duality.  By a wholehearted endeavor, by directing our unified conscious being towards our aim, we become one with it, washed clean of all the darkness and suffering of the lower mind by the waters of wisdom.”

 

Srila Prabhupada:

 

“Such people cannot think of any living being as separate from Krishna, just as the leaves and branches of a tree are not separate from the tree.  They know very well that by pouring water on the root of the tree, the water will get distributed to all the leaves and branches.  Because their minds are always fixed on Krishna, there is no chance of ever being separated from him, nor is there is a chance that they will engage their senses in matters other than service of the Lord.  Those whose senses have been mastered in this way will never be offensive to anyone.”
