A common space for harmonic peacemakers
Today, the American delegation that entered Gaza didn’t witness a real relief effort. They walked through a staged promo shoot for the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation—props perfectly placed, cameras rolling.
But my family is in Gaza. They don’t need sets. They need food. They don’t need rehearsed scenes. They need medicine. They don’t need another high-level visit that skirts the truth.
This wasn’t a humanitarian mission. It was a performance—paid for with your tax dollars and costing us lives.
They could’ve spoken to real people. They could’ve seen the hunger. But they didn’t.
While they played pretend, more people died—if not by bullets, then by the cruel, man-made starvation they refused to acknowledge.
It’s as if the Americans came to Gaza just to talk to themselves.
They couldn’t—or wouldn’t—find a neutral, credible party to speak to. Maybe they didn’t try hard enough. Maybe they didn’t want to hear what we would say.
Because the truth isn’t camera-friendly. And the people living it aren’t props.
