 throughout the long and lonely night  

 when dreams can turn to mares   

 where is the song so fine and bright

 evaporating fears.?

 dissolves the dross and dirt and slime

and leaves the night so clear.

                     

its here my friend,  our friend your friend

and has been all the while.   

so why forget a song so fine

that takes our cares away..

kindness and love is ours to know

the sounds of a brand new day

   

and why should i sing a song so sweet ?

when a brighter song sings more sweetly than me

more sweetly than i can hope to be
