the procession of creations play

we step in the procession 

breath by breath day by day  

swimming in creations play

but mostly we want to stay

and try on another hat

wear a different coat or mack

and walk whilst leaning backwards

become a haberdasher

or pick a pocket bag snatcher

or be a special thief catcher

chasing a reflection thru the snow

determined to follow where it may go

.

will you fail like a dog to catch its tail

or will you become a lighthouse keeper

warning those who sail off the rocks 

lest they go deeper whilst the clock knocks 

and mocks with ticks and tocks away 

the precious time you have to stay

another day another day will you find your way?

will you find the children reigning in creations play?
