with a hand at the table we cannot complain  

if our cards seem low and worthless. 

with a hand at the table we are still in the game 

so not one breath is pointless.

  

with a hand at the table i don't care for fame 

or even a leg to stand on 

the value of life is so precious you know 

its enough to make us hang on.

   

we have it fellows 

the time of our life

is Now.

That Unchanging Love

  

you do know that That which we call immortality 

is not gained after death but from what we come to be 

aware of in transcending consciousness.

  

(yet to speak of That we risk reducing all to words 

and so it necessitates using similes

and listening carefully to the birds.)

 

all in all adrift times timeless sea 

inside the ship of space live beings called you and me

upon a moving stage amidst changing scenery 

our dreams give birth to that we call reality

yet what is real if not That Unchanging Love.
