howling for peace ~ poem

[janice wilson]

the mind howls n howls
thinks n thinks
even growls
the heart wants
to feel the peace
contentment , joy of it all
tis a tug of war
a push , a shove
within us all
a letting go
to the simple
that knows
the beauty of being here
having the clarity to see
to feel the sweetness in us
to be rejoicing , embracing
the delightful Me
then I feel the real meaning
of being free to live in gratitude
for my short time on earth
I honor the Real Me
