A common space for harmonic peacemakers
"The structure of the world itself, it functions on natural law, and the natural law is a powerful regenerative process. Its a process of regeneration that continues and grows and is endless. Its absolutely endless if everyone agrees to the law and follows the law. But if you challenge the law, and you think you are going to change the law, then you are bound to failure…"
~ John Trudell, Native American activist

"The fundamental illusion that modern humans need to wake up from now is the idea that we are somehow separate from Nature. We are not separate, we are Nature herself, in human form. We are a part of a greater Earth community, children of this living planet. Once this understanding becomes "common sense" for high technology cultures and civilizations, humanity will be able to solve the problems we've created, by believing we were somehow superior to other species and separate from our Mother, the Earth."

“We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

"When we speak of Nature it is wrong to forget that we are ourselves a part of Nature. We ought to view ourselves with the same curiosity and openness with which we study a tree, the sky or a thought, because we too are linked to the entire Universe."

"We are life. We are nature. We are Universe. Self-reflexive consciousness allows us different perspectives on this ever-transforming and evolving whole we participate in — this all that we are reflections of. We bring forth a world together, as embodied manifestations of the universe co-creating the world through how we participate and what we pay attention to and care about."

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.”

"Look deep into Nature and you will understand everything better."

"Allow Nature's peace to flow into you, as sunshine flows into trees."

"Be still, and the earth will speak to you."

"Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world."

Prairies can store much more carbon below ground than a forest can store above ground. In fact, the prairie was once the largest carbon sink in the world-much bigger than the Amazon rainforest-and its destruction has had devastating effects...
"Prairies are some of the most endangered ecosystems in the world, with the tallgrass prairie being the most endangered. Only 1-4% of tallgrass prairie still exists. Prairies are critically important, not only for the unique biodiversity they possess, but for their effect on climate... I have heard about the glacier, and it is obvious to me that we are undergoing a pole shift and no one is telling us!
Scientists are warning of dramatic changes at one of the biggest glaciers in Antarctica, potentially within the next five to 10 years.
They say a floating section at the front of Thwaites Glacier, that until now has been relatively stable, could "shatter like a car windscreen".
Already it is dumping 50 billion tonnes of ice into the ocean each year.
Meanwhile, in Siberia, the highest temperature ever recorded in the Arctic - 38C (100F) - has been officially confirmed, sounding "alarm bells" over Earth's changing climate.
And yes, we all know what Jane Goodall is saying, and each one of us have to decide for ourselves, what kind of difference we can make. .
What a perfect drawing of that situation!
And what a wonderful article, so true!
Thanks, Nada!
"Floods, droughts, and extreme heat are worsening so quickly that they are likely to result in catastrophic economic losses. The Global Center on Adaptation estimates that, in just the next eight years, climate-related disasters could send 122 million more people around the world into extreme poverty, a third of them in sub-Saharan Africa."
