An American Crocodile basks in the sun on a riverbank, while butterflies flutter near its eyes. The butterflies were actually landing on the crocodile and sucking up those crocodile tears. Shot on my recent scouting trip to Costa Rica with fellow @NatGeo photographer @SteveWinterPhoto, where we’ve been checking out locations for our future Wildlife Photo Masterclass trips.

Thanks, Eva, for replying. I was wondering if they could be found anywhere else, I live in California, USA, and we have starlings, also, but I did not know they were the same as the Tuttis.

However, they are not white. They have several shades of gray. But they sing, all right.

Carmen, the photo with the Starlings, (Tuttis), is not mine. Rosmarie posted it. I'm a layman, and I do not know bird species. But in my street, (French-Switzerland), I have a similar spectacle every morning and every evening, (in the summer months). It is fascinating.

Eva, do you live in New Zealand or are those Tuttis from elsewhere?

You call them Starlings...

And Luna, I am from Cuba and I had not seen one of those Todies for such a long time...

Two young squirrel monkeys in the rain forest in Costa Rica. These youngsters were super playful and fun to watch. To photograph them, I balanced my telephoto on a monopod, and used a little flash fill to light the shadows.

A very powerful photo of the starlings. Every morning and evening I have such a spectacle in my street, where they populate two huge chestnut trees.
