“One day You will take my heart completely
and make it more fiery than a dragon.
Your eyelashes will write on my heart
the poem that could never come from the pen of a poet.”

COLORS
The colors live
Between black and white
In a land that we
Know best by sight.
But knowing best
Isn’t everything
For colors dance
And colors sing
And colors laugh
And colors cry
Turn off the light
And colors die,
And they make you feel
Every feeling there is
From the grumpiest grump
To the fizziest fizz.
And you and you and I
Know well
Each has a taste
And each has a smell
And each has a wonderful
Story to tell."

Mindful or Full Mind — by Dr. Steven Januar 24, 2018
Mindful.
Full mind.
Neither.
Both.
I'm always jumping back and forth.
One minute I'm mindful.
The next I'm a mind full of stuff.
Silly stuff.
Stuff I like.
Stuff I don't.
Judging here and there.
Likes.
Then I recognize my mind full of stuff.
And try to move back to mindful.
How?
Look at that tree.
Listen to that waterfall.
Feel my lungs filling with cool air.
Smell the cedar.
Before mindful -- full mind.
During mindful -- noticing my full mind and letting it be.
Letting it be exactly how it is and exactly how it isn't.
After mindful -- full mind.
Keep noticing.
WISE WORDS FOR OUR TIMES:
Human unity is a power that can overcome all differences of race, nationality, ideology or culture. Military leaders have aroused partial unity by means of fear, pride, anger, hate and lies. But unity can also be aroused, more fruitfully and enduringly, by love and the desire for justice.
-- Richard Gregg
