just as Martin Luther King Jr, a Baptist, and Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist, collaborated to help end the Vietnam War and alleviate suffering for many, i hope and pray that current American Christians and American Buddhists will collectively tackle and dismantle systemic racism that plagues the USA today...namo Guan Shr Yin Pusa

In our time, in our civilization, sitting and doing nothing is considered either to be a luxury or a waste of time. But sitting can produce the most nourishing calm and joy and we can all afford some time to sit. How wonderful to sit and do nothing.

Life has left her footprints on my forehead.

But I have become a child again thi...s morning.
The smile, seen through leaves and flowers,
is back to smooth away the wrinkles,
as the rains wipe away footprints on the beach.
Again a cycle of birth and death begins.

Beautiful poem by Thich Nhat Hanh...

“This body is not me.
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
and I have never died.

Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars,
manifestations from my wondrous true mind.

Since before time, I have been free…

Birth and death are only doors through which we pass,
sacred thresholds on our journey.
Birth and death are a game of hide- and seek.

So laugh with me,
hold my hand,
let us say good-bye,
say good-bye, to meet again soon.

We meet today.
We will meet again tomorrow.
We will meet at the source every moment.

We meet each other in all forms of life.”

"You cannot transmit wisdom and insight to another person. The seed is already there. A good teacher touches the seed, allowing it to wake up, to sprout and to grow."  ∼ Thich Nhat Hanh ∼

Love that saying, and as for me, I am always smiling, I did not know how great the benefit was, but certainly it makes my days and my entire life , very happy...

When the Buddha was asked, “Sir, what do you and your monks practice?” he replied, “We sit, we walk, and we eat.” The questioner continued, “But sir, everyone sits, walks, and eats,” and the Buddha told him, “When we sit, we know we are sitting. When we walk, we know we are walking. When we eat, we know we are eating.
