just as Martin Luther King Jr, a Baptist, and Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist, collaborated to help end the Vietnam War and alleviate suffering for many, i hope and pray that current American Christians and American Buddhists will collectively tackle and dismantle systemic racism that plagues the USA today...namo Guan Shr Yin Pusa
Beautiful poem by Thich Nhat Hanh...
“This body is not me.
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
and I have never died.
Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars,
manifestations from my wondrous true mind.
Since before time, I have been free…
Birth and death are only doors through which we pass,
sacred thresholds on our journey.
Birth and death are a game of hide- and seek.
So laugh with me,
hold my hand,
let us say good-bye,
say good-bye, to meet again soon.
We meet today.
We will meet again tomorrow.
We will meet at the source every moment.
We meet each other in all forms of life.”
Love that saying, and as for me, I am always smiling, I did not know how great the benefit was, but certainly it makes my days and my entire life , very happy...
When the Buddha was asked, “Sir, what do you and your monks practice?” he replied, “We sit, we walk, and we eat.” The questioner continued, “But sir, everyone sits, walks, and eats,” and the Buddha told him, “When we sit, we know we are sitting. When we walk, we know we are walking. When we eat, we know we are eating.
- Thich Nhat Hanh
