maybe this could be a place
to share little morsels of
our daily lives.

as in:
today I went and hung out with a friend
who recently lost his wife
(happened to be my cousin)
and helped him put his vehicle up for sale
on the internet.

And for myself,
yesterday I received a
big fat juicy red rejected sticker
on my car
from the inspection station.
that'll be $800 to fix
and I got 2 weeks.
arg.
such is life.

Oh, OK.
well ...
wanna hear what the conspiracy theorists think?
it goes like this.
TBD was a marketing firms brain child.
a finger on the pulse (as it were)
of citizens common consciousness.

or in other words;
they wanted to get a sample
of what was peaking the interest
of the 'simple' folk.

this way they could better 'sell'
whatever political campaign they served.
all the while their true agendas
required tact.
they could not let on as to its true purpose
lest they arouse suspicious reprisals
and humanities tending to practice deception.

brilliant really.
good salesmanship,
if you're into that sort of thing.
they were getting to know
their customers
so they would know what tact to take
in order to secure their vote.

the site was never intended
to be maintained.
once they got info they needed
they left us in the ditch.

but of course that was all kept secret
from everyone outside the dreaded inner circle,
except for the little inside joke
'To Be Deleted'
get it?

T = to
B = be
D = deleted

which like most things
was right before our eyes
the whole time
and we never saw it.

TBD is another site.
I don't know what TBD stands for
but it was originally an over 40's thing.
It went bellyup and some have tried to
salvage it by bringing it to .ning.

to whom popular entertainment is aimed;
it is beyond me.

inexorably recognizing
in your eyes
i am a peon.
with your words you honor me
but we both know
somethings are better left
unsaid.

i am not well at all
yes i can see that
in fleeting moments of lucidity,
but in my dream of dreams
i was told a word
that once spoken ~
a world of wonder would be unveiled.
try as i might
