"Ecological Consciousness is caring about the Earth as family, connecting with Nature consciously, respecting Mother Nature's laws, knowing that YOU are Nature. We all are."
“Viewed from the distance of the moon, the astonishing thing about the earth, catching the breath, is that it is alive.. Aloft, floating free beneath the moist, gleaming, membrane of bright blue sky is the rising earth, the only exuberant thing in this part of the cosmos... It has the organized, self-contained look of a live creature, full of information, marvelously skilled in handling the sun.”
That makes sense, also for those of us that have had out of the body experiences, we have to come to grips with the fact that the World is much more than what we can physical see!
I was born in Cuba, a hot island in the Caribbean, and I have lived in al kinds of temperatures, and survived them all, snow and ice and whatever else.
Roberto Moreira of the Mbyá Guarani original people is the chief of the Yasy Porà village in Argentina rainforest.
The Guarani began as a migratory people due both to survival needs and spiritual beliefs. They originated in the Amazonia and traveled south over thousands of years.
Due to their beliefs the conversation and video with Roberto focuses solely on his work with preserving the tree and medicinal plant species in the area he calls home.
"Floods, droughts, and extreme heat are worsening so quickly that they are likely to result in catastrophic economic losses. The Global Center on Adaptation estimates that, in just the next eight years, climate-related disasters could send 122 million more people around the world into extreme poverty, a third of them in sub-Saharan Africa."
Most people don't REALLY want to think about this. We can blame politicians and media, but the ignorance is often by choice. Those of us who have "worked hard for the money" want to enjoy our positions of privilege. Thinking about the toxic effects of our consumerism is depressing...
Scientists are warning of dramatic changes at one of the biggest glaciers in Antarctica, potentially within the next five to 10 years.
They say a floating section at the front of Thwaites Glacier, that until now has been relatively stable, could "shatter like a car windscreen".
Already it is dumping 50 billion tonnes of ice into the ocean each year.
Meanwhile, in Siberia, the highest temperature ever recorded in the Arctic - 38C (100F) - has been officially confirmed, sounding "alarm bells" over Earth's changing climate.

“I used to think the top global environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought with 30 years of good science we could address those problems, but I was wrong.
The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy – and to deal with these we need a spiritual and cultural transformation and we scientists don’t know how to do that.”

Wild teaches us, that in nature, in all living systems, there is one constant. That constant is change. As wild ones, as beings of nature, we are not made to be stagnant things. But ever shifting, growing, decomposing, rebirthing beings. Made of the will, the beauty and alchemical nature of wild. ———————— • Words by Brigit Anna McNeill • • Art by K Acedera •

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that deals with “being.”
A new study finds that a single trip on a psychedelic can cause lasting changes in a person's metaphysical beliefs.
Overall, people moved away from "hard materialism" to more transcendental, idealistic, and supernatural views of the cosmos.
