"Ecological Consciousness is caring about the Earth as family, connecting with Nature consciously, respecting Mother Nature's laws, knowing that YOU are Nature. We all are."
"Whenever I touch a flower, I touch the sun and yet I don't get burned. When I touch the flower, I touch a cloud without flying to the sky. When I touch the flower, I touch my consciousness, your consciousness, and the great planet Earth at the same time.
The miracle is possible because of insight into the nature of interbeing. If you really touch one flower deeply, you touch the whole cosmos. The cosmos is neither one nor many. When you touch one, you touch many, and when you touch many, you touch one.."
This is what regenerative farming can look like. This is a picture of the Eden Project in Cornwall, England. Unlike conventional monoculture planting, this polyculture system diversifies the soil life, making plants less susceptible to pests and disease. (Photo by Franie Treetops @ Flickr).
Regenerative farming applies the Buddhist wisdom of pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination) and inter-being to agriculture. One could also describe this as aligning with the ecological wisdom of Nature, what some African cultures call "ubuntu" - the Indigenous wisdom that all LIFE is interdependently related as a whole, and thrives best as One family -

"If a mystic is one who is sensibly or even sensuously aware of his inseparability as an individual from the total existing universe, he is simply a person who has become sensible, aware through his senses of the way ecologists see the world. So when I’m in academic circles I don’t talk about mystical experience. I talk about ecological awareness. Same thing."

"Every child is born in the garden of humanity as a flower. Each flower differs from every other flower. There are many messages in our society that tell us, even when we’re young people, that there’s something wrong with us and that if we just buy the right product, or look a certain way, or have the right partner, that will fix it. As grown-ups, we can remind young people that they’re already beautiful as they are; they don’t have to be someone else." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

"See simplicity in the complicated. Seek greatness in small things. In the Universe, the difficult things are done as if they were easy." ~ Lao Tsu
"The basic laws of the Universe are simple, but because our senses are limited, we can’t grasp them. There is a pattern in creation." ~ Albert Einstein

“You are in relationships with the external world that are, on the whole, incredibly harmonious. But we have this rather myopic way of looking at things. And we screen out from attention anything that is not immediately important to a scanning system based on sensing danger.”
~ Alan Watts
“We are all floating in a tremendous river and the river carries you along. Some of the people in the river are swimming against the current, but they are still being carried along. Others have learned that the art of the thing is to swim with it. You have to flow with the river. There is no other way. You can swim against it, and pretend not to be flowing with it. But you still flow with the river.”

“When you know that you have to go with the river, suddenly you acquire—behind everything that you do—the power of the river.”
“You hear the sound of water… And that’s quite as important as anything I’ve got to say.”

“Relationships are all there is. Everything in the universe only exists because it is in relationship to everything else. Nothing exists in isolation. We have to stop pretending we are individuals that can go it alone.” — Margaret J. Wheatley
"The Old Ones say, 'You are the greatest miracle on earth. Not because it is you, but because you are living.'
And do you know what? It is true: you are the greatest miracle on earth. Because you live now and here. Millions of people have lived before you. But you are living now – in these times of change. What a miracle, what a gift to live in these times."
