Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Pyramid of Light

The Pyramid of Light is a contemporary demonstration for peace, which can be realized in every city. A centralized open space forms the location. In the corners of this space 4 laser beams are set up. In the evening hours they shoot their green fluorescent light into the universe and thus form a pyramid. From far and wide the rays can be seen and will lead the visitor towards it.

The laser beams form a pyramid, creating a sacred place to gather underneath where people can come together to share their love and understanding for humankind with others. By means of meditation, prayer, by singing mantra’s and songs, by making music, listening to each other stories en by sharing food and drinks around a camp fire, an unique gathering of multi cultural and multi religious population groups from a city. This is meant as an example for all areas where people are fighting each other.

The Pyramid of Light was first meant for the Old City of Jerusalem. The idea has been offered to the authorities of Jerusalem in the year 2000. Although the municipality of Jerusalem supported the Pyramid of Light at that time as a peace initiative, the Israeli army banned a specific implementation of the plan because of the Second Intifada that started.

In 2006, during the International Day of Peace, September 21, a light appeared above Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, the negotiations with the municipality of Jerusalem for a Pyramid of Light has been restarted again. The intention is that during the Summer nights of 2012 the Pyramid of light will appear above the Old City. The preference would be to see the Pyramid of Light as a permanent feature above the Old City of Jerusalem.

We intend to create a chain of Pyramids of Light around the Middle East, in cities all over the world, as a shining example for the inhabitants of Jerusalem to live together in harmony. Every specific city, village or festival can adopt a Pyramid of Light. The Pyramid of Light will be the ultimate spot to bring representatives of religions and cultures together, to release and preserve positive energy. Underneath the laser beams every person will be able to take the initiative for peace himself, by opening his heart to his fellow men and by celebrating their oneness. In this way a medium will be created for everyone who wants that Peace Prevails on Earth.

If the inhabitants in cities in the world will demonstrate that they live in peace with each other, then it will surely affect the community in Jerusalem to live in harmony with each other too. In this way Jerusalem can develop itself into a City of Peace because of the examples other cities are giving.

If you want to have a Pyramid of Light above your city, please contact me to work out the idea for your city.
