INTERNATIONAL DAY OF NONVIOLENCE
The guiding principle of Gandhi's vision, his work and all of his teachings was AHIMSA. Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word which has been translated to mean "Nonviolence". A more accurate translation is "do no harm in thought, word or deed". Today is the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF NONVIOLENCE, it's a good day to remember how Gandhi contributed to a shift towards a culture of peace and nonviolence and to realize that each of us, with our own words and actions, can help to contribute to this shift.
