This is an old photo of His Holiness the Dalai Lama with Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh. We pray for good heath and longevity of both. Sometimes not getting what we want is a blessing in disguise. It exhausts the consequences of past negative actions. It also gives us a rich opportunity to observe how we react to adversity. This opens the door for the real dharma work -- transforming our destructive emotions into love, compassion, patience, rejoicing, forgiveness, and gratitude. Emaho!
