The last photograph of John Lennon. The photographer Paul Goresh accidentally captured the meeting between the star and his killer, Mark David Chapman (right).
The fan wanted an autograph from John Lennon. He shot him hours later.
Mark David Chapman was a long-time Beatles fan. Over time, however, he grew into a hatred of the world. Forty years ago he shot his idol in order to become famous himself.
