one from a year ago and one from today neither of which have been shown before.

bubble

full of fun -having noticed the change in orientation
i asked what does it take to turn a corner.) To know
where you are going, she said (in that languid time
of after shower changing when intimacy is felt
as common ground for nothing but simply being,
although it’s a mystery why the glimpse of an errant
but well known breast still thrilled as it did.
And i had been recounting – something she’d said
that had helped me through that morning’s practice
of self knowledge when i couldn’t stop day dreaming:
”when all else fails the breath comes one at a time”
and she was commentating what a subtle transition
it was, all of this in one long bubble where love is
the unannounced fragrance, and bouncing like a
Tigger without a stitch of clothing

Where the Answer Was, Before the Question

In the waking night, concerned
by what I’d heard and read
I asked; “do I have faith in God”?
Oh, I have faith in lots of things:
some of which are mine, a portfolio
of investments on which I walk
and are - on the whole yet to fail me,
though they will; but what of God?
As natural as the daylight sun
my heart responds unspoken:
“There’s no need to ask the question;
Instead, a need to be with thee.”

And “Thee” is real as day inside a feeling,
as were those moments bowed with longing.
