Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

The wise one said ' appreciation is the antidote for greed.'

After considering it for a while I saw that the capacity we have for appreciation in our lives and of our lives is like a muscle that can be developed thru practise.. that is the more we can appreciate the more we can appreciate.. Its like a snowball that grows with movement..

But the one consumed by greed is so because they cannot appreciate much or anything about their actual life.

Hence the overpowering hunger for whatever, that no matter how much is consumed the hunger only grows..

We are here to get to know ourselves but the hunger for the world can just overpower and distract us..

So we all need to spend simple time alone with ourselves everyday so  that the appreciation capacity can be exercised.

We already have the complete package if only we would unpack it and  recognise the dynamic of our being.

This human life we have is the greatest gift there is.. to receive it requires that we accept it and open it..

and realise the wonder of what we have been given by allowing ourselves to be that reality.
