beyond me

 

i carefully made my way to the edge

i gathered my courage and peered

as i stood upon the precipice

there was a vastness that i struggled to grasp

yes, i so wanted to be grounded

but i was not willing to jump

so i spread my wings

and took flight instead

and the vastness became mine

 

beyond me
