A common space for harmonic peacemakers
Negative emotions like anger, jealousy, and pride are blessings in disguise. When we are consumed by these emotions, we feel overwhelmed. Yet, there is a ray of light, of hope, if we search. This ray of light is the foundation for transformation. Transformation to an enlightened state, expressed by the Buddha, after attaining enlightenment (or at least showing us how), as the four noble truths. The truth of suffering, the pain experienced by our negative emotions. The truth of the cause of suffering, grasping at a mistaken understanding of who we are, what our emotions really are. Then the third noble truth, that there is an end to our suffering. This is freedom in the full sense of the word. Finally, there are methods to ending our suffering. This is so beautiful. The Buddha was such a genius, expressing transformation like the pristine lotus growing out of the dirty mud. Emaho!
