Afzal Shauq takes his readers on a journey filled with insight, imagination and emotion. His poetic genius will carry you from one emotion to another as you accompany him. His literary superiority shines through as he paints the page with beauty yet the depth and meaning behind each of his creations will occupy your thoughts long after the experience. Afzal has the ability to evoke depth of thought from his readers a quality that most poets only dream of possessing. His masterful manipulation of word and phrase will surprise and delight even the most stringent critic.

Love Ends Differences
(By: Afzal Shauq)
The title of this poem conjures images of endless pages of loving sentiments yet I was incredibly surprised when I read it for the first time.
It is short of verse yet unbelievably powerful in its meaning and it could not be titled more aptly.
This poem will touch your heart, make you question your loyalties, give realization to points you are aware of but have not paid much mind to.
I will admit I would never have expected to hear these words from the hand of a man. It has given me faith in the ability of men to understand and illustrate beautifully, that which the world has yet to learn.
Friendly Smile

This simplistic observation had me wondering why the thought had never occurred to me. There is such unique beauty in the simplistic nature of this poem and I do believe in some cases less really is more.
Open ended this poem, a particular favourite of mine, shines light on the cold hard reality of mankind. Captivation in a way I have never before seen on a level that appeals to all ages, sexes and races. The thought that one poem could represent so much in so many different ways to so many diversely different people brings new magnitude to the art of writing.
Highly recommended along with all his other works.
