So they moved the embassy to Jerusalem, so those who have nothing to lose thought it was a great idea. They were made promises by those who have no stake in the future of Palestine or Israel. How convenient to hold a ceremony on a day before Nakba (the Catastrophe day for the Palestinians who lost everything.) and before Ramadan. who cares how many are hurt or by the fact that some 50 lives are lost. It would appear that the sanctity of bricks and mortar and where they are cemented together is more important than the sanctity of life. Can we not stop for a minute to think that there are consequences to our actions. Is it more important to crack a bottle of champagne over a building rather than to watch families retrieving their loved ones from a pile of bodies. Put on your glad rags and come to a ceremony to celebrate while Gaza Burns. What open scars and hatred will this foolishness create. Let both sides come to its senses, before it is brought to its knees.
