Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Sometimes people can't see what is wrong in their actions...

"Sometimes people can't see what is wrong in their actions because they are surrounded by those who made it feel normal." (Toby Mac)

It's a powerful and often sobering truth that our perception of right and wrong is deeply shaped by our environment.

Sometimes, people are unable to see the flaws in their actions not because of a lack of character, but because they are surrounded by those who have made it feel normal.

This concept speaks to the immense influence of our social circles and the insidious way that a group's shared blind spots can become an individual's accepted reality.
When an echo chamber normalizes poor behavior or harmful patterns, it takes a great deal of courage and self-awareness to step outside of that influence and question the status quo.

True growth often begins with the difficult work of detaching from a familiar narrative and seeking a new, more truthful perspective. Mitra
