A common space for harmonic peacemakers
.
Prem Rawat recently spoke at an event in Bologna where he told a short story about a monk. The monk was sitting on the beach when someone he knew came up to him and slapped him on the face. He wrote in the sand 'today so and so came up to me and slapped me on the face'.
A few days later that same person approached the monk who was sitting in the same place. He apologised for slapping him in the face and offered him a flower as a gift. The monk arose and began to walk up a nearby mountain until he came close to the top where there was a cliff face. There he etched into the stone for all to see 'today so and so brought me a flower and apologised.'
So the slap on the face was washed away in the sand whilst the apology and the flower remained indefinitely.
