Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

This is a very touching and human video by a Jewish song writer who dedicated this song to Abeer a little Palestinian girl who was shot to death at close range by an Israeli soldier. Please listen to the song and to his touching words.

Thank you for that link Irit. Yes, Combatants for Peace and its members including Abeer's father, you and other members are doing are a great job. This video really moved me, and I hope many more Israeli combatants will join and do more to bring peace, justice and equality to everybody and stop militarism and empire building. Here is a quote that we should all remember: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron." -Dwight D. Eisenhower

Thank you, Mona for posting this video.( I have had to listen to it on Youtube though, couldn't run it here...)

I know Basasam Aramin - Abeer's father, who is a great man, a peacemaker, one of the founder of the organization "Combatant for Peace" which I am proud to be a member of. Bassam, like other bereaved parents in Israel and in Palestine, has decided to make good out of his lose, out of his pain, out of his tragedy. He gathered all the energy he had and, togrher with good people, is doing a lot for the conflict resolution in our area, for reconciliation and for peace.

pls watch the video in ths link -

What about understanding the causes of war in addition to remedial actions? Winston Churchill said "Wars will seize when soldiers refuse to fight."
